Evil men and Prostitutes: why would they have a greater proclivity for turning to God than the pious and religious? Was Jesus just sharing an observation or a principle?

Pious and Religious. What a contrast. Things aren't always what they seem.
What makes a man evil? Why do women become prostitutes?
Deliberate turning away from God.
